On Frankincense
On Frankincense:
It is not commonly known or promoted that the essential oil of Frankincense contains only a minute portion of the therapeutic compounds found in Frankincense resin. The majority of the healing compounds are discarded after distillation of the resin as waste.
Out of 1 kilogram, (2 Pounds), of Frankincense resin we can expect to receive about 5% by weight, about 1.5 Ounces of Frankincense essential oil.
Another way to look at it is that Frankincense is a gum, from a tree.
It is only able to be grown in certain areas, and some areas provide a higher vibration than others due to sun exposure and regional differences.
This is known due to dedicated researchers who have studied and compared the essential oils of frankincense side by side and analyzed their constituents and found that certain regions provide higher concentrations of Alpha Pinene than other varieties of Frankincense.
Frankincense resin takes 3 months to harden after it has grown for 8 years and only then is the resin viable.
After the resin hardens for 3 months, it is collected and sorted by grade and quality.
The resin itself is composed of very specific compounds that are unique to frankincense which are called Boswellic Acids.
During distillation of essential oils, 70% of these compounds do not survive the process and are no longer found in the essential oil.
The essential oil, while lovely and good and wonderful in its own right, simply does not contain 70% of its medicinal compounds.
So, upon learning about this, I wanted to make my own Frankincense oil, and share this with as many people as I possibly could.
My products are hand made in small batches with love and care, and are sourced with the best ingredients in the world, and the highest quality Frankincense than can be found.
It is VERY high grade and the way I formulate my blends was taught to me by an elder herbalist and I adhere to her standards of herbal formulations for effectiveness and quality.
It is few and far between that you will find on the market stronger products than what I make.
The line of thinking is simply this: the reality of the situation on Earth as it currently is that we are only recently forced to live in a chemically induced environment, and we must be strong in our actions to preserve our rights to being healthy. It is a universal right. This is the way this world was designed, we have a right to healing products, herbs, clean skies, and healthy lifestyles.
So, considering all of this, my standards for herbal formulation are extremely high and must be formulated to be extra strength.
